What is the difference between logical channels and transport channels in LTE

Logical channels:

MAC layer provides a data transfer services for the RLC layer through logical channels. Logical channels are either control logical channels which carry control data such as RRC signalling, or traffic logical channels which carry user plane data.

Control logical channels: CCCH, PCCH, BCCH, MCCH, and DCCH

Traffic logical channels: DTCH and MTCH

Transport channels:

Data from the MAC layer is exchanged with the physical layers through the transport channels. Data is multiplexed into transport channels depending on how the data is transferred over the air.

Down link transport channels: BCH, PCH, DL-SCH and MCH

Uplink transport channels: UL-SCH and RACH
